AI Agents for Business: What They Can and Can't Do Yet
What AI agents actually do in a small business, where they go wrong, and the guardrails that keep them useful.
Custom software, apps and AI tooling for New Zealand businesses, built, hosted and supported by our team in Auckland.

We get AI tools working inside your business, connected to your own data and hosted where you choose.

Software built around how your business works, from internal tools to customer portals, with a fixed price for each stage.

Before you buy or build, we work out what your business needs and tell you which option fits, including when off-the-shelf software is the better answer.

We set up deployment pipelines, infrastructure as code and auto scaling hosting on AWS, so new releases go out without downtime.

We build the first version of your product, the smallest one that proves the idea works, in fixed-price stages.

Mobile, desktop and web apps, built with the right toolkit for the job and published under your own store accounts.

AI that takes repetitive admin off your team, from sorting email and reading invoices to drafting quotes and weekly reports.

Servers, storage and networks in your own office for backups, development and non-critical services, so you pay less for the cloud.
We're a software development team in Auckland. We build custom software and apps for New Zealand businesses, set up AI tools that work with your own data, and host and support what we build. If you don't need custom code, we'll tell you.
A few of the projects behind the services above.
We moved a business's development environments and non-critical services from the cloud onto an on-site server. Over a year, that saved more than NZ$100,000 in cloud costs.
For a legacy publishing business, we brought AI into the development team for code review, bug fixes and refactoring, then connected the company's data to AI models through an MCP server, so staff can query it from their AI agent.
We built an internal dashboard that shows where a company's website traffic comes from. It helped the company fight AI bot abuse and scraping.
We built the MVP for a New Zealand booking site for car servicing and repairs. Drivers compare mechanics on price, rating and availability, then book a time online.
We built a subscription service that gives home and office servers their own public IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, even on internet connections that share an address (CG-NAT). Customers sign up, pay monthly and manage their addresses and firewall ports from a dashboard.
We built an Android app for programming a digital road sign, covering images, schedules and settings, plus the software on the sign itself. It reads the vehicle speed from the sign's radar and shows a custom message when a driver goes over the set speed.
For one community site, XenForo, an off-the-shelf forum platform, did the core job. We set it up and built custom integrations and modifications on top, instead of building a forum from scratch.
Our custom software and MVP projects typically cost between NZ$8,000 and NZ$50,000, depending on size. Every stage has a fixed price, agreed before the work starts.
We go through your requirements, then propose a solution with a fixed price and a time frame for each stage. If something unexpected comes up, we check with you before going further.
It depends on the size of the project. We give you a time frame with our proposal, and we tell you straight away if anything changes it.
We're flexible. Ownership of the code is agreed with you at the start. We publish apps under your own App Store and Google Play accounts, so the app stays yours.
You choose: on-site on your own servers, in a cloud account, or in a data centre you pick. We set up the hosting and deployment for you.
Yes. We're based in Auckland and work with businesses across New Zealand and further afield.
Then we'll tell you. Sometimes an off-the-shelf product, or one with a custom integration, is the better answer. Our software consultancy work starts with exactly that question.
We can host the software and handle maintenance as it comes up, or work on a retainer. If you'd rather host it yourself, we can set that up too.
Yes. We set up AI tools connected to your own data and hosted where you choose. If data can't leave your network, we run open models on your own hardware. Our AI consulting page has more.
